 - Write a short paragraph describing a story happened in the past-a picnic in the countryside.

Ss: Read the lesson and do the exercises in Unit.

1.WARM UP (5MS)
- Ask Ss some questions
- Check.
- Answer the questions .
- Correct.
*QUESTIONS
-What do you usually do in your free time/ on the weekend/ on Sundays?
- Have you ever gone a picnic?
- How did you go?
2. PRE-WRITING (10MS)
- Have Ss look at the pictures and the information given and explain the requirement.
- Give more words if necessary.
- Write the first sentences for Ss.
3.WHILE-WRITING (20MS)
- Go around and help if necessary.
- Correct if necessary.
- look at the picture.
- take notes.
- Work in groups to write a short paragraph describing a country picnic.
- Two groups present their paragraphs on the board.
- Other groups give ideas.
*EXAMPLE
- It was a beautiful day, my friends and I decided to go on a picnic.
*SUGGESTED IDEA
 It was a beautiful day, so my friends and I decided to go on a picnic. We took a bus to the countryside and walked about 20 minutes to the picnic site on the river bank. We put down the blankets and laid out the food. After the meal. We played games, including “ What song is it?” and blind man’s buff. In the late afternoon, we went fishing. We enjoyed our picnic very much. When we looked at the time, it was nearly 6.30 pm. We hurriedly gathered our things and ran to the bus stop. We luckily caught the last bus, and we arrived home very late in the evening.

- Have ss Ask and answer.
- Ask and answer based on this writing.
