LANGUAGE CONTENT - Grammar: Adjectives and adverbs, Adverb clause of reason, If- clause. - New language: canned food (n), candle (n), peg (n), door latch (n) III.TEACHING AIDS - Extra-board, Extra-table IV.PROCEDURES TEACHER ’S ACTIVITIES STUDENT ’ ACTIVITIES CONTENTS 1.WARM UP (4MS) - Have Ss write some disasters they have learned on the board. - Ask Ss questions. - Write. - Answer the questions. - Which disasters occurred in our town? - What should we do when there is a typhoon? 2.PRE – SPEAKING (5MS) - Introduce some new words, using pictures or real things. - Hang the extra-board . 3.WHILE - SPEAKING (10MS) - Have ss tell what they should for a typhoon. - Check. 4. POST- SPEAKING (4MS) - Have ss make dialogues. - Have ss work in pairs to practice. - Give feedback. 5.PRE-LISTENING (5MS) - Explain some new words based on Ss’answers - Set the sentence. 7. WHILE-LISTENING (10MS) - Have Ss listen to the tape twice. - Check. - Pronounce these words. - Check (P) what preparations should be made for a typhoon. - Work in pairs talk about what they think they want to buy and do to prepare for a typhoon and explain why. *NOTES - Use the ideas in the box . - Use agreeing and disagreeing and disagreeing structures that they have learned. - Work in pairs to practice. - Can guess the words which need to be filled - Complete the table and exchange with their friends. - Listen. - Fill in the blanks - Correct. *VOCABULARY -canned food (n) -candle (n) -peg (n) -door latch (n) a) Check (P) what preparations you think should be made for a typhoon.
