PREPARATION: Teacher: textbook, teacher’s book, teaching plan, Extra - tables Students: textbooks, notebooks Learn the previous lesson prepare new lesson III.PROCEDURES TEACHER ’S ACTIVITIES STUDENT ’ ACTIVITIES CONTENTS 1.WARM UP (5MS) - Ask Ss some questions. - Check. - Answer - Correct. - How can we save energy? - Why should we save energy? 2.PRE-WRITING (10MS) - Introduce a speech. - Have ss match a give the answer. 3.WHILE-WRITING (19MS) - Divide class into 3 groups and asks them to write a speech. - Match and give answer. - Correct. - Work in groups. - Show the board and correct. *A speech usually has 3 parts: * Introduction, Body and Conclusion. a) Match each part of a speech in Column A to a suitable function in Column B. 1 -B 2-C 3-A b)Put the following sections in the correct place to complete a speech. 3- 2 -1 + Group1: Reducing garbage. + Group2: Reducing paper. + Group3: Saving energy in the kitchen. * Good morning myclassmates. My mane is Huong and today I’m going to tell you how to reuse paper. Most of us use too much paper. You can reuse this amount by: - have a separate wastebasket for wastepaper. - keep sheets with single printed page for drafting. If you follow these rules, notonly you reuse paper, butalso the environment will be cleaner. 4.POST-WRITING(7MS) - Have ss tell the speech again. - Check. - ask Ss to do in group and do the three exercises - Read the speech loudly. - Ask and answer questions based on their speech. - do 5.HOMEWORK (4MS) -Write 3 speech into their exercise notebooks. - Prepare “Language focus” IV.
