* The past progressive tense
* Form : 
(+) : S + was / were + V-ing
(-) : S + wasn’t / weren’t + V-ing
(?) : Was / Were + S + V-ing ?
* Usage :
a) Dùng để diển tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm cụ thể trong quá khứ ( th/g được xác định)
Ex: 
Ba was doing his homework at 7 o’clock yesterday evening. 
b) Dùng để diển tả một hành động đang xảy ra thì có một hành động khác xen vào (cả 2 hành động đều ở quá khứ) 
Ex : Last night Mary was watching TV, the telephone rang.
c) Dùng để diển tả 2 hoặc nhiều hành động cùng xảy ra một lúc trong quá khứ
Ex : 
Last Sunday while I was playing chess with Nam,my father was talking to his friends.
* Progressive tenses with always.
“always” được dùng với thì tiếp diễn để diển tả một sự việc thường xuyên xảy ra với sự không hài lòng, hay than phiền
Ex : Phong was always talking in class.

 Today I’m going to explain how to start a compost heap. First of all you must use only vegetable matter, Which includes tea leaves, egg shells- but wash the shells first- and tissues. Don’t use any meat or grain products because this attracts rats.
2.(A).Where is the best place for a compost heap?
 Find a place in your garden that gets a few hours of sunlight each day. Use picks or shovels to turn the compost regularly so it gets plenty of air.
3( B).Should you water the compost?
 The compost also needs moisture, but it will get this from condensation. Cover the heap with a sheet of strong plastic if the weather is very wet.
4(B).How long does it take before you can use the compost?
Keep adding to the pile and after about six months, your compost will be ready to use as fertilizer.
